I am Jeroen Timmermans, songwriter and composer for my own voice as well as others.

Having majored in English literature and being an ardent reader of philosophy, I always attempt to wed beauty and wisdom to the extent to which my mental prowess allows.

I’ve collaborated with theater writers, producers, poets as well as other writers and contributed to film and multimedia presentations, always attempting to write the best song given the time and creative tool available. To me, music and language meet in the realm where they both operate: meaning and beauty which is on my palette in different shades at all times.

I always try to develop as a writer and I never flinch at styles and modes that are of yet beyond the scope of my understanding. Among others, I’ve written in the mold of African music, Folk and  60s pop, ever aiming to retain my voice and for each format trying to employ that which appeals to me and chuck the chaff.
